Media Literacy: Media Uncovered!
There’s no escaping the constant bombardment we are subjected to in our daily lives from the media. In studying media literacy students engage in critical thinking skills involving analysing, synthesising and evaluating. Pupils will investigate how traditional and digital media forms are constructed to convey meaning.

A REAL LIFE LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR DIGITAL MEDIA CREATIVITY & INQUIRY
A project based on the Auckland Museum’s I AM Making Movies competition that is part of an eLearning strategy to support the new Digital Technologies curriculum. Students are given the opportunity to create a short movie based on exhibits throughout the Museum. The learning context offers students the chance to engage in inquiry and creative thinking; as well as putting their digital skills into action.
